JAKARTA - Kunto Aji's latest album, released last September, the Introductor of Purification of Mind, was transferred to a painting.
In collaboration with Antonio Reinhard, Kunto Aji visualized the 9 songs contained in the album. Later, the paintings will be exhibited at the Jakarta Illustration & Creative Arts Fair (JICAF).
The Membiru Pilu singer admitted that the idea of presenting the album Introductory Purification Think into a painting appeared while discussing with a friend. Then he was introduced to Antonio Reinhard whom he knew first through his works.
"I really like it, really like it, indeed from the start I was told Tony's works, I have also seen it in IG, indeed his style and style like it," said Kunto Aji at SCBD, South Jakarta, Thursday, November 16.
Kunto Aji is satisfied with the works that will be exhibited. However, he did not want to be trapped in the interpretation of Antonio Reinhard's painting of the song from his album. Kunto felt that his songs could be interpreted in many ways.
"If it's appropriate or not, I've never actually (limited the interpretation). Like my song, other people want to catch it like anything (that's okay)," said Kunto Aji.
"I would actually be happier when someone catches him differently, it means they catch a detail I can't get from there," he continued.
Meanwhile, the works of Kunto Aji and Antonio Reinhard can be enjoyed and purchased at the Illustration & Creative Arts Fair (JICAF) which will be held at the ASHTA District 8 SPACE8 + Main Atrium Jakarta.
