Coldplay's Latest Video Clip Marks Dakota Johnson's Directorial Debut

JAKARTA - Without news, Coldplay released a music video for the song Cry, Cry, Cry which was taken from the album Everyday Life. The London-based band still invites people to participate in this music video such as Everyday Life and Orphans.

The music video for Cry, Cry, Cry features a party to which many people go. Some of them started dancing to the song. Coldplay members; Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Will Champion, and Jonny Buckland played the band until the four of them started singing together.

This song tells of someone calming their partner. From the start of the song, until the chorus with the lyrics “When you cry cry cry, I'll be by your side” played softly beautifully. The part of the bridge which is more filled becomes the conclusion of the song:

“Don't want us to hurt each other. Or cause each other pain. Don't want to fear what we don't know. We're in this together, baby. We're as singing is to rain. So I'll never, ever, ever let you go "

Cry, Cry, Cry takes a few elements from the song Cry, Baby which was written by Bert Berns and Jerry Ragovoy for Garnet Mimms. Besides Mimms, this song was also sung by Janis Joplin in 1970.

The music video was directed by Dakota Johnson - actress and lover Chris Martin - and Cory Bailey. Taking place at the Rivoli Ballroom London, the choreography in Cry, Cry, Cry was created by Celia Rowlson-Hall, a choreographer who used to create ideas for several singers' music videos.

Previously, Chris Martin announced that he would not go on a concert tour before finding an eco-friendly tour. He wants a ban on the use of single-use plastics at Coldplay's shows. In addition, the concert uses a power plant using sunlight as a power generator.

"We will spend the next year or two designing tours that are sustainable, and also environmentally beneficial," said Chris Martin, told the BBC.

Coldplay has also recorded all of the performances from the album Everyday Life in Jordan. The special appearance was uploaded via Coldplay's YouTube channel so that all their fans could watch it.
