Shaggydog Releases Homecoming Song With A Meriah Ska

JAKARTA Seeing the many musicians who released songs with the theme of returning home, Shaggydog did not want to lose by releasing a single titled Homecoming on April 16.

'Travel #MudikShaggydog has reached your digital music platform,' they said via Instagram some time ago.

This song was written by Heruwa by carrying the rhythm of the middle east music combined with the ska genre in the style of the lively Shaggydog.

Since its formation in 1997, this band from Yogyakarta has often performed Ska music in every of its songs. This was proven in their first album entitled Shaggydog which was produced in 1999.

In addition, a similar genre was also created by Heruwa (vocals), Richard (guitar), Raymond (guitar), Bandizt (bassis), Lilik (keyboards), Yoyo (drums) in various other works such as the Joint album (2001), Hot Dogz (2003), Kembali. (2006), and others.

In fact, among a number of these works, one of their songs titled Second Girl is in demand by a record label from Japan to participate in the compilation of the album Asian Ska Foundation in 2003.

That moment was their first step to be known in the international music world. This was marked by offers coming from the Mundial Production Festival to hold concert tours in various cities in the Netherlands.
