Band Asal Padang, Frys Launches First Mini Album

JAKARTA - The band from Padang, Frys released his first EP (mini album) titled La Journeladi under the auspices of Anoa Records on March 23.

Previously, they had released two singles in advance such as Lost (2019) and Hope (2022) which eventually entered the EP.

Now, the band fronted by Kiky Ersya (vocals), Lingga (guitar), Addil (bass), and Vega (guitar) announced the news of La Journ's presence via Instagram some time ago.

"Our newest EP "La Journee" is now available on your favorite streaming platform around the world by @anoarecords," they said.

For information, dreampop is a derivative of the rock alternative and neo-psychedelia which emphasizes the atmosphere and texture of the melody.

Generally they have several elements, namely vocals that sound like breathing, solid production, and various guitar effects such as reverb, echo, tramolo and chorus. This type of music is also close to each other's shoegaze genres.

This genre became known in the 1980s through bands such as the Cocteau Twins, AR Kane, My Bloody Valentine, Lux, and Slowdive.
