JAKARTA - Veteran thrash metal Metal Church shared the first teaser for their upcoming album featuring the band's new vocalist, Marc Lopes.
The vocalist Ross The Boss and Let Us Prey joined Metal Church a few months ago following Mike Howe's death less than two years ago.
When Lopes joined Metal Church for the first time announced in early February, this was said guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof on social media.
"We audited some vocalists and even though they were all great, Marc was quick to be a clear choice," Kutdt wrote.
"Both David Wayne and Mike Howe have very unique and irreplaceable sound quality, so we are not looking for a clone of both. We want someone new, who can accept the past, and also bring something fresh and interesting.
"Marc brings a very classic but modern feel to his songs and we look forward to releasing this new album for you later this year [via Rat Pak Records]!"
Howe was found dead at his home in Eureka, California in July 2021. According to TMZ, Howe's official cause of death was asphysics due to hanging himself. A spokesman for the Humboldt District Sheriff's Department told the media authorities it was suicide. He is 55 years old.
