JAKARTA - Trio from Bandung, Valla, released an EP entitled Parti Pris on January 20 yesterday.

Bringing rock music types from the 90s to 2000s, Parti Pris became their second release after Vermisst's EP (mini album) in 2020.

Parti Pris, which is French, means 'bias', carries a theme about love, life, and despair.

In writing the lyrics by Kareka Puja Saputra, there is a discussion that intersects with the relationship between humans and God. Indirectly, it is also felt biased.

In these 9 tracks, with the order of In Decair, Intro, Nitrate, Moribond, Fuss, Demise, handicraft Opus, Lovelorn and ending with Contemlate, we are doing some exploration in terms of sound, vocals, and lyrics. This EP seems to be more easily accepted by many people," they said in their statement.

Why are there so many songs in this EP? Because we want if we release an album it must be more than 13 tracks," Valla continued, regarding the number of songs in Parti Pris' EP.

In celebrating the release of EP Parti Pris, Kareka Puja Saputra (vocals and guitars), Angga Prihayadi (bass), and Angga Prihayadi (drums) held hearing sessions in two cities.

As a warm-up to the Parti Pris EP, they also released one single titled Opus first.
