JAKARTA - The legendary rock band that is proud of the country, God Bless, is sure to make a comeback at the JogjaROCKarta music festival. God Bless will be one of the opening bands for Scorpions and Whitesnake who were asked as headliners on March 1 at the Kridosono Stadium, Yogyakarta.

For God Bless, apart from performing for the third time at the annual rock music event of Rajawali Indonesia, they will also reunite with Whitesnake's vocalist, David Coverdale.

Achmad Albar, Ian Antono, and Donny Fattah in particular, met for the first time and one stage with Coverdale when God Bless opened the Deep Purple concert in 1975. At that time, Deep Purple Mark IV was fronted by Coverdale on the vocal line who replaced Ian Gillan.

The announcement of the re-appearance of God Bless at JogjaROCKarta was revealed by Rajawali Indonesia through the Instagram account @jogjarockartafestival.

"After 2 appearances at the 2017 and 2018 Jogarockarta festivals, one of Indonesia's legendary rock bands, @godblessrocks will return to perform at the 2020 Jogjarockrta festival," the announcement reads.

The names Scorpions and Whitesnake first appeared as candidates for the main performers of the 2019 edition of JogjaROCKarta at the end of the previous year. However, their names slowly disappeared as there was no match between the schedule and the organizer. Then, Extreme and Powertrip who finally became headliners.

Through the Instagram accounts @rajawaliindonesia and @jogjarockartafestival, the arrival of Scorpions and Whitesnake was finally confirmed on 19 October 2019. See below:
