JAKARTA - Saosin is confirmed to complete the Hammersonic Festival 2023 line-up. The organizers announced news of the planned presence of the California band, United States, through social media.

"Let's get pumped up coz @saosinofficial will be shredding you at Hammersonic 2023!" wrote Hammersonic on Instagram, Thursday.

Saisin was formed in Orange County, California in 2003 with members of Beau Burchell, Justin Shekoski, Zach Kennedy, and Anthony Green. The band released their first EP (mini album), Translating the Name in 2003.

That same year, original vocalist Anthony Green left Saosin for personal reasons. One year later, Cove Reber replaced Green as vocalist after auditioning for the role.

Together with Reber, Saosin recorded their self-titled debut album released via Capitol Records on September 26, 2006. Their second studio album, In Search of Solid Ground, was released September 8, 2009 on Virgin Records and contains three re-recorded songs from EP The Grey (2008). One year later, Reber was fired from Saosin.

In 2013, the band was re-formed with all original members, except Zach, and started the tour. They released Along the Shadow, their third and first studio album with original vocalist Anthony Green, on May 20, 2016 via Epicaph Records.

Saosin emerged from the emo and post-hardcore scene during the early 2000s, and was known for their harmonious vocals, delayed guitar riffs and natural harmonism as a form of the creation of the melody.

For Saosin, this is the fourth time they have visited Indonesia. Previously, in 2007 in Jakarta, 2008 in Bali and 2010 in Bandung. Returning to Jakarta next year, Saosin will share a stage with the ranks of world rock and metal players on March 19 next year.

After Saosin, who else will bridge the Hammersonic 2023 line-up? Keep monitoring the organizers' social media.
