Nasida Ria Uploads The Excitement Of Performing In Germany To Drinking Water Directly From The Faucet

JAKARTA - The kasidah group from Semarang, Nasida Ria performed in Kassel, Germany at the Opening Week Music Program Documenta Fifteen on Saturday, June 18, 2022. Their performance went viral because many viewers enjoyed their performance, and did not even hesitate to dance.

Nasida Ria performed by singing several flagship songs such as "The World in the News", "Peace", "When a Nuclear Bomb is Detonated", "City of Santri" and many others.

Peace song is arguably the iconic song of this qosidah group. Armand Maulana even had time to re-create this song into a pop rock song.

Through a verified Instagram account, @nasidariasemarang, Nasida Ria shared the moment of departure, sound check, and their performance in Germany. Warganet also congratulated and was proud of the achievements of the women from Semarang.

Nasida Ria's kasidah group was formed in 1975 by HM Zain, a qiraah teacher in Semarang City, Central Java. He gathered 9 of his students to form a group with members Mudrikah Zain, Mutoharoh, Rien Jammain, Umi Kholifah, Musyarofah, Nunung, Alfiyah, Kudriyah and Nur Ain.

At the beginning of her career, Nasida Ria only used a tambourine as a musical instrument. Until then Mayor Imam Soeparto Tjakrajoeda donated musical instruments. Nasida Ria's debut in the album entitled "Alabaladil Makabul" with inspiration from Arabic music.

Nasida Ria initially released a song with Arabic lyrics. However, after being given advice by Kiai Ahmad Buchori Masruri, Nasida Ria finally performed Indonesian songs. Currently Nasida Ria has 12 personnel with the manager Choliq Zain, the son of HM Zain.
