JAKARTA - Gugun Blues Shelter (GBS) held a party for the release of its newest single, Jingga, on May 25 yesterday at Twalen Warong, Mbloc Space Area, Blok M, South Jakarta.

Thematically, Jingga is the personal response of the GBS mastermind, Gugun, to the phenomenon of 'twilight' which has become popular in recent years in the Indonesian music scene.

“The trend of new musicians, new music fans, themes, and everything about 'twilight' that has collectively emerged lately. I don't know what that means, but it made me react,” said Gugun.

In terms of music, Jingga is still served with a blues rock base with a strong soul/r&b breath.

This song also showcases the best of GBS's pop side which is the result of the harmonious collaboration of Gugun as the main songwriter with the prima sexy playing of GBS rhythm – bassist Fajar and drummer Bowie.

After producing 10 albums since 2004, GBS plans to focus more on releasing single-work records. After asking Jingga as the opening act, there are still a series of releases throughout 2022 that they are preparing.

Jingga's solo works are available and can be enjoyed on various digital streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Joox, Resso, YouTube Music and Deezer in collaboration with record label demajors.
