50 Years Of Aerosmith And Their Return To The Grammy Awards

JAKARTA - Veteran rock band Aerosmith is confirmed to appear at the Grammy Awards which will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, January 26. They will share the stage with Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Blake Shelton, and Gwen Stefani. This event will again be hosted by Alicia Keys.

Steven Tyler et al will be awarded the MusiCares Person of The Year 2020 award to mark their 50 year career. This special award will take place during the 30th MusiCares gala, two nights before the 62nd Grammy Awards.

MusiCares Person of the Year is an award given annually by MusiCares, a charity of The Recording Academy, the same organization that distributes the Grammy Awards. This was done to commend the musicians for their artistic achievements in the music industry and their dedication to philanthropy.

A collection of sensational items will be offered in the gala. These include instruments from this year's awardees and of course from the induction rock band Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame which has sold more than 150 million records worldwide, Aerosmith. Some of them have never even been seen at any auction.

Among the items included Tyler's microphone signed directly by the vocalist, the iconic Shure SM58 and a white microphone stand (estimate: US $ 5-10 thousand) along with his personal scarf. Then there's Joe Perry's signature Gibson Les Paul Signature guitar with an estimated starting price of $ 5 to 7 thousand.

In addition, Tyler and Perry will be offering the "VIP Meet and Greet Package" at the auction (estimate: US $ 10-20 thousand) where the lucky winner will meet the rest of the band. This package includes two first-class airfare and two nights hotel accommodation for an Aerosmith concert in Las Vegas; an exclusive backstage tour of Aerosmith's "Deuces Are Wild" show; photo opportunities with the band; autographed photo of Steven Tyler and Joe Perry; tickets to view memorabilia from Aerosmith's 50 year career at the AEROSMITH exhibition; and much more.

Meanwhile, recently confirmed, Aerosmith is extending the Las Vegas residential show Deuces Are Wild. The overwhelming demand from fans led to this Crazy song platform adding 15 dates in early 2020.

The band, which was once considered a young politician, Faldo Maldini, just became famous after releasing the song I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing in 1998, without drummer Joey Kramer since last April. He was recovering from an ankle injury and was replaced by Kramer's drum technician John Douglas.

The legendary Boston rock squad hasn't released a new studio album since Music From Another Dimension! which was released eight years ago. The album was released when Aerosmith's label, Columbia Records, reportedly underwent a leadership change, and ultimately the album was not a commercial success.
