JAKARTA - Electric motorcycles in Indonesia are increasingly mushrooming, evidenced by various manufacturers continuing to launch their latest products which are indeed tailored to the needs of users in the country.

Talking about electric motorcycles is now a daily means of transportation, because it offers a fairly long distance. Including from PT Ofero Technology Indonesia (Ofero), a global brand of electric mobility solution provider that officially introduced Carria 1 at the 2026 Jakarta Fair, Kemayoran.

The launch of Carria 1 comes as national e-commerce continues to open up new opportunities for business players. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded e-commerce transaction value of IDR 1,288.93 trillion in 2024, an increase of around 17 percent compared to the previous year.

However, with only 41.51 percent of business actors using electronic commerce and the government's target to encourage 30 million MSMEs to enter the digital ecosystem, the need for efficient mobility solutions to support distribution, delivery, and daily business operations is becoming increasingly relevant.

At the same time, the government is also accelerating the development of the national electric vehicle ecosystem as part of a more modern and sustainable transportation transformation. Through Carria 1, Ofero seeks to take a role in presenting an electric motorcycle that is not only environmentally friendly, but also able to provide direct economic benefits for business actors through more efficient operating costs, reliable performance, and use that is appropriate for daily mobility needs.

Ofero Indonesia Brand Department, Auditya Gunawan, said that the presence of Ofero and Carria 1 is not just an ordinary electric motorcycle. But rather, it has evolved into a productivity instrument.

"Through Carria 1, we want to present a mobility solution that can help MSMEs, local entrepreneurs, couriers, and logistics companies increase operational efficiency without reducing productivity," he said in an official statement received, Sunday, July 5.

In detail, this one-molis carries the slogan Fast Work, Load More, Carria 1 is designed to support high-intensity operational activities through a combination of durability, carrying capacity, and efficiency of use.

One of its main advantages is the use of a dual battery system (Dual Battery) which allows vehicles to travel up to 130 kilometers on a single full charge. This ability gives users the freedom to carry out daily activities without having to worry about charging repeatedly.

Not only offering long mileage, Carria 1 is also designed for operational needs that require large carrying capacity. With the ability to carry a load of up to 200 kilograms, Carria 1 can be used for various business needs, ranging from goods distribution, last mile delivery services, culinary businesses, to company operational activities that require reliable field vehicles.

To support driving safety, Carria 1 is equipped with Traction Control System (TCS) technology which helps maintain vehicle traction in various road surface conditions.

This technology is becoming increasingly important considering that operational vehicles are often used in various weather conditions and diverse road conditions. In addition, Carria 1 is also equipped with an Automatic Repair System (ARS) feature that allows the system to perform automatic recovery when certain obstacles occur so that users can continue to travel to the nearest service point.

In terms of comfort and practicality, Carria 1 comes with various modern features such as a 6-inch digital panel with auto brightness, NFC keyless access, USB charging port, anti-theft alarm, 34-liter luggage capacity, and long seats that provide more flexibility for daily and operational needs.
