KTM, the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer, has just unveiled the most extreme naked bike, the 1390 Super Duke RR.
Not just an ordinary highway motorcycle, this RR edition comes with one goal to become the ruler of the racing track that is still legal to drive on public roads.
One of the most striking things about the 1390 Super Duke RR is its fantastic power-to-weight ratio. Thanks to the use of massive carbon fiber materials in various body parts, this motorcycle has a wet weight (without fuel) of only 189 kg.
For comparison, this weight is even lighter than the 2026 Bajaj Dominar 400 which weighs 190 kg.
Quoted from the manufacturer's website, Wednesday, April 15, KTM is not messing around in the control sector. They stripped off the standard WP APEX suspension and replaced it with a fully adjustable WP Pro Components package. The front, using a closed-cartridge fork that allows precise compression and rebound settings. While the rear, relies on the latest WP 8750 monoshock specifically designed for the RR series. With a larger piston, this suspension ensures maximum stability when the motorcycle is driven to the limit on the circuit.
To tame its power, KTM attaches the latest Brembo HyPure monoblock caliper. This caliper is claimed to be lighter than the Stylema type, but provides a more responsive bite with less lever pressure.
The power is channeled to the asphalt through a forged rim of seven spokes, whose design is directly inspired by the MotoGP racing bike, the KTM RC16. This super light rim is then wrapped with a very sticky Michelin Power GP tire.
Behind its frame, there is an embedded 1,350cc LC8 V-twin engine that is capable of spitting out 190 PS of power and 138 Nm of torque. Although the engine base is the same as the standard version, this RR edition gets an additional Akrapovič Titanium slip-on exhaust that gives the engine a more fierce roar while cutting the weight even deeper.
The KTM 1390 Super Duke RR is not a bike for everyone. This bike is only produced in 350 units worldwide and will only reach dealers next month, with the official price not yet announced.
