JAKARTA - As technology develops, two-wheeled users continue to be spoiled by manufacturers, most recently Yamaha launched a new application called YAMAHA MOTOR ON (Y-ON), which has been officially available since April this year.

The Y-ON application itself is a 'Digital Hub' designed to combine the functions of various Yamaha applications that have existed previously, namely Y-Connect and My Yamaha Motor, so that it becomes a 'One Stop Info' that makes it easier for consumers to get information, services and new experiences with Yamaha.

Manager of Digital Customer eXperience, PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Mfg, Adita, said that the company consistently presents innovations that are oriented towards consumer needs, both through products and services.

"The presence of the Y-ON application as a Digital Hub is our strategic step in integrating various Yamaha digital services into a practical and personalized integrated ecosystem, so that consumers can enjoy easy access and get a more enjoyable experience with the Yamaha Brand," he said. , in an official statement received, Tuesday, April 14.

In the initial phase, Y-ON will integrate the Y-Connect application first into its digital platform gradually followed by display and feature updates. Due to this ongoing integration process, for some time in the future the Y-Connect application can still be accessed by users until the entire integration process is completed.

In terms of updating the display, Y-ON now groups features into 4 categories which include Home, Ride, Memories, and Account. This categorization is done by considering the user's usage scenario to make it easier for them to understand and experience.

The Home section has also been significantly improved to provide faster access to the main or favorite features through the Widget function, Recently Used Features and Global Navigation at the bottom. Meanwhile, from the feature side, if previously Y-Connect had 9 feature functions, on Y-ON it increased to 12 with the addition of Multi Vehicle, Maintenance, and User Statistics. One of the new features available on Y-ON is Multi Vehicle which allows users to register more than 1 motorcycle on the application. In addition, switching to another motorcycle can now be done without having to pair it first so it is easier and more practical.

Meanwhile, regarding the Maintenance feature, it allows users to get service reminder notifications, in terms of checking or replacing parts based on mileage and time periods that are set independently (customization). If you have performed maintenance at an official workshop, the service record will also be stored in the application.

Then for User Statistics, it presents a summary of information regarding travel distance, average fuel efficiency, travel time, and total fuel consumption. All of these data will be accumulated and displayed in the form of visual graphs and tables, even the time range can be set based on months or years.
