Yamaha Officially Selling Premium Scooters TMAX in Indonesia, Price Touch Rp400 Million

JAKARTA - PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Mfg. (YIMM) finally officially launched the flagship model in the MAXI Yamaha category, namely the TMAX to the Indonesian market in January this year.

The Yamaha TMAX has existed since 2001 and continues to receive updates until now. Entering the 9th generation (Model 2025), the iconic scooter is now equipped with many updates that improve driving quality to a higher level.

There are several updates and technological improvements, the incorporation of exclusive features, and also the best finishing details that reinforce the reputation of the TMAX, as the 'Premium Sport Scooter'.

Manager of Public Relations, YRA & Community PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Mfg, Rifki Maulana, revealed that TMAX is one of the most revolutionary models in Yamaha's history. Since it was first introduced in 2001, TMAX has managed to combine the riding character of a sports motorcycle with the practicality of a scooter harmoniously.

"So it's no wonder that this scooter has many fans globally in various countries, including in Indonesia, and to answer the high demand for this model, at the beginning of 2026 Yamaha will again sell the TMAX as a CBU product that can be ordered at Yamaha CBU dealers," he said. , in his official statement received, Wednesday, January 21.

In terms of specifications, the TMAX is equipped with a 560cc 2-cylinder engine with Euro5+ standard technology that has been updated with a centrifugal clutch so as to produce a smoother and smoother driving acceleration (smooth). This engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 35 kW at 7,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 55 Nm at 5,250 rpm.

The improvement of driving control when maneuvering is also improved through the presence of a number of the latest cutting-edge features. Starting from the Brake Control System with 6-Axis Inertia Measurement Unit (IMU) technology which functions to prevent the tires from slipping when the driver brakes when maneuvering by utilizing sensors.

The rim section is also improved through the Heat Treatment process which makes this part stronger and lighter. In addition to updates on both parts, maximum driving control on the TMAX is also supported by a sturdy aluminum frame and handle-bar, Up Side Down (USD) front suspension, and Link Type Mono-Cross rear suspension like motorsport.

There are various interesting features embedded, such as Riding Mode (driving mode) which is presented in 2 choices, namely T-Mode and S-Mode. T-Mode is suitable for various conditions that allow the rider to enjoy smooth acceleration from low to high speed.

Meanwhile, S-Mode offers a more sporty engine response at low to medium speed ranges. The Smart Key system is also embedded in the motorcycle with many functions, such as turning on the engine, unlocking the seat, releasing the middle standard lock (Anti-Theft Locking Center Stand), and opening the gas tank cap.

Long-distance driving activities are also more enjoyable with the presence of Cruise Control which allows drivers to drive stably without having to turn the gas lever. This feature can be activated at speeds of 50 - 140 km/h. Adjustable Wind Screen with a movement range of 110 mm is also embedded to provide the ideal Wind Screen position for users.

Another new feature applied to the motorcycle is the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), which is installed on the air valve to display information on the speedometer and provide warnings if there is a tire leak. Driving comfort on the TMAX is also presented through the Grip and Seat Warmer (Warmer) feature which is available in 3 levels of choice, namely low, Mid and High. This feature can be activated when the engine is on.

On the display side, the latest TMAX comes with a new design touch that targets the cowling area and the main lights. Carrying the Calmness & Maturity concept, TMAX now has a more elegant and premium face by reducing sharp lines and curves. The front lights use a brighter and focused Mono-Focus Lens technology, with an iconic T-shape design that represents the TMAX identity. The specifications are similar to those adopted on the rear lights.

The motor dashboard cluster also uses a 7-inch TFT screen equipped with Y-Connect connectivity features and also a Navigation System using Garmin Motorize to display digital maps as directions. The Tachometer display can also be changed in 3 theme options so that it can be adjusted to the user's preferences.

For the Indonesian market, Yamaha sells TMAX in 2 variants, namely TMAX TECHMAX with Crystal Graphite color for Rp. 455 million and also TMAX MAX Special Livery with Black MAX color for Rp. 475 million On The Road (OTR) Jakarta.
