AHM Supports Post-disaster Recovery in Sumatra through Free Service

JAKARTA - PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) together with its main dealer network has participated in accompanying and supporting the community in facing the post-disaster recovery period in Sumatra. AHM has provided assistance in the form of free motorcycle service to more than 3,000 consumers affected by natural disasters in the Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra regions. This program has been implemented since early December 2025 to the present. Collaborating with the Honda motorcycle network in 3 provinces, AHM not only provides free service for the community in disaster-affected areas.

Various quick response assistance is distributed in the form of the construction of clean water facilities and support for basic needs for affected people. These various initiatives are a manifestation of AHM's commitment to continue to accompany the community so that they can return to carrying out daily activities. In the free service program, thousands of Honda motorcycle consumers receive various services so that their motorcycles can be immediately used in their activities, ranging from repairs, maintenance, to cleaning motorcycles. AHM together with the Honda motorcycle network opened dozens of repair posts in 11 districts by involving 50 technicians. In addition to opening in special areas, AHM together with the main dealer network provides this free service on a mobile or moving location to reach the affected areas more broadly.

General Manager of Corporate Communication AHM Ahmad Muhibbuddin expressed his condolences for the natural disaster that hit the community in several areas in Sumatra. Coordination with the Honda motorcycle network in the region and the local community continues to be carried out so that assistance can reach the community optimally. "Various assistance for clean water infrastructure and basic needs is our form of concern for the community affected by natural disasters. With the spirit of Synergy for the Country, we hope that this initiative can help accelerate the recovery process of the community after the disaster," said Muhibbuddin. To complement the community's needs, AHM also distributed various household supplies, including food processing equipment and worship supplies. All of these activities are carried out in collaboration with the Honda motorcycle main dealer network, namely PT Capella Dinamik Nusantara for Aceh, PT Indako Trading Coy for North Sumatra, and PT Hayati Pratama Mandiri and PT Menara Agung for West Sumatra.
