Having A Sporty Look, Yamaha Launches New Squeezer Honda Vario

JAKARTA Yamaha officially released Cygnus XR 155 DX 2025 in Taiwan, becoming the latest generation of popular scooters to come in 2002. This model also continues the long tradition of Cygnus' family, which is now entering its 7th generation.

Quoting Greatbikers, Monday, September 8, Cygnus XR has recently arrived with a Yamaha Aerox-style sporty design, but still offers practicality typical of flat-deck scooters that makes it easier for motorists to carry lots of goods.

The most significant update is in the engine sector. Cygnus XR is now upgrading from 125cc to 155cc, adopting the same platform as Yamaha NMAX and Aerox, complete with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology for optimal performance in various engine rounds.

The front look is getting more aggressive thanks to the LED projector light with a Ducati Panigale-like design, plus a vertical DRL and a separate sein light on the cover of the handlebar. The sporty character is getting stronger with full LED lighting which gives a warm and modern impression.

Cygnus XR 155 DX is equipped with a colored LCD screen that can be connected to smartphones, as well as a Smart Key system, ABS brakes, and a TCS stability control system. The scooter also has a front fuel tank similar to the Yamaha FreeGo, a unique scooter style in Taiwan.

The back suspension uses a pair of shock dampers with an inversely installed separate sub-tangki, which is another difference from other Yamaha scooters in the global market.

Even though it looks big, the overall proportion still creates a sharp and sleek impression because 12-inch alloy rims are pinned with a front tire size of 110/70-12 and a rear tire of 130/70-12.

There is no more detailed information regarding its presence for overseas markets, but with all its advantages it certainly looks interesting if it is present at the Southeast Asian market.
