JAKARTA - Kawasaki Indonesia officially launched an e-1 Ninja electric motorcycle in Indonesia today, Friday, November 17. Previously, this motorbike had made its debut in the European market a few months ago.

This electric motorbike is sold at a price of around Rp. 149 million On The Road (OTR) Jakarta, featuring a sporty full-fairing bodywork design, in line with the characteristics of the known Ninja with high performance.

Battery Features And Specifications

The first highway electric motor from Kawasaki is powered by a comprehensive electric motor that presents a strong off-the-line acceleration and low-end response. Drivers can choose the power level as desired, which contributes to their confidence.

The unique features of electric vehicles, such as e-boosts and WALK Mode, add to the driving experience. With an e-boost, motorists can access an increase in power for approximately 15 seconds. When activated, acceleration becomes stronger and the highest speed increases, from 64 km/hour to 75 km/hour (ECO mode), and from 88 km/hour to 105 km/hour.

The battery capacity consists of two units with a total capacity of 3 kWh. This motorbike can cover a distance of about 64 kilometers with one full disbursement. The total battery weight is about 11.4 kilograms, can be charged in three ways: charged directly when the battery is installed on the motorcycle, charged with a dock when the battery is removed, and the charge is directly on its own battery.

Regenerative System and Handling

Thanks to the regenerative system, the energy wasted when the rider releases the shuttle is recycled back to the battery, increasing the range of travel. Kawasaki is committed to serving driving pleasure that characterizes their motorcycles, including balance and light maneuverability. Front suspension uses 41 mm telescopic fork, while the rear uses a U.E. Track ottom-link, gas-charged shock with an adjustment spring preload.

Other Specifications

This e-1 Ninja is equipped with a 100/80-17M/C 52S front wheel and a 130/70-17M/C 62S rear wheel. The overall dimension is 1.980 mm long, 690 mm wide, 1,105 mm high, and 1.370 mm long wheel axis distance.
