BYD Atto 1 Gets Refreshment in China, What Has Changed?

JAKARTA - BYD Seagull or known in Indonesia as Atto 1 has received updates from the technology to features in China, and was shown directly at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show (Auto China).

Citing the Carnewschina website, Sunday, April 26, the most significant improvements include an increase in maximum range from 405km to 505km under the CLTC standard, and the availability of an optional LiDAR system. The LiDAR-equipped variant will feature BYD's "God's Eye B" driver assistance system.

While the overall design is largely unchanged, it only gets a new color option, namely red. This car still adopts 16-inch rims and 175/55 R16 tire specifications.

Meanwhile, the interior design maintains the current model but there are some improvements including, a simplified steering wheel button, a center console button that matches the interior color.

According to previously released information, the maximum power of the new motor has been increased to 60kW (80hp), while the CLTC range of high-specification models has been increased from 405 to 505 km.

The BYD Atto 1 talk itself has been present in Indonesia and has been the best-selling electric car. Its compact shape is the right choice for driving in the city and on narrow roads.

With the presence of updates in China, will it also be present in Indonesia? Of course it is worth waiting for because the sales of electric cars and new energy capabilities are currently growing rapidly.
