JAKARTA - Hyundai Motor Europe officially presents the Ioniq 3, an electric compact hatchback designed to make mobility more convenient and relevant in Europe.

Hyundai Motor Europe President and CEO Xavier Martinet said that with the presence of the Ioniq 3, the company designed this vehicle for people's daily needs.

"Ioniq 3 also marks the debut of the Pleos Connect infotainment system, which presents sharp graphics, an intuitive user experience, and extensive customization options that raise the bar in this segment," he said, quoted from the official website, Wednesday, April 22.

In terms of design, the Ioniq 3 introduces Hyundai's "Art of Steel" design language to the compact EV segment. This design follows Hyundai's "Art of Steel" philosophy, which is inspired by the tension and raw purity found in steel production. Surfaces are reduced to a few deliberate volumes that create a strong visual impact and precision, reflecting the natural behavior of sheet metal.

The characteristic pixel lighting element further strengthens the IONIQ identity, complemented by four central points that refer to the letter "H" in Morse code.

The new "Aero Hatch" typology presents a typical balance between aerodynamic efficiency and interior space, with an expected drag coefficient of 0.263, which is the best in its class.

Despite its compact exterior dimensions, the IONIQ 3 offers a spacious and flexible interior designed for passenger comfort. The spacious 441-liter luggage capacity is expected to be a benchmark in its segment and support everyday practicality, equipped with an integrated Megabox.

Built on Hyundai Motor Group's Global Electric Modular Platform (E-GMP) with a 400-volt architecture, it supports efficient performance and ease of daily use.

There are two battery options with a projected WLTP range of 344 km (Standard Range), with a Long Range version targeting a class-leading range of 496 km. Fast DC charging from 10 to 80 percent in around 29 minutes, complete with AC charging capability up to 22 kW.
