JAKARTA - Hyundai officially opened pre-orders for its latest electric sports car, the Ioniq 6 N, in the UK. This model is Hyundai's second high-performance electric car after the Ioniq 5 N, and comes with up to 641 horsepower.

A few months after its global debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, Hyundai first launched the Ioniq 6 N in its domestic market, South Korea. Now, Hyundai has announced prices and specification details for the UK market.

Reported by Electrek, Friday, January 23, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N is marketed for £65,800 or Rp1.4 billion. This sporty electric car is powered by an 84 kWh battery and is claimed to be able to travel up to 302 miles (487 km).

Just like the Ioniq 5 N, this variant carries a dual motor system. Its maximum power reaches 641 hp (478.1 kW) with a torque of 545.8 lb-ft (740 Nm) when the N Launch Control and N Grin Boost features are activated.

To accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 3.2 seconds. Hyundai explains, the N Grin Boost provides a 10-second power boost to unlock the full potential of the vehicle with just the push of a button.

Without the feature, the power output drops to 601 hp with a torque of around 545 lb-ft. In addition to relying on large power, Hyundai also embeds N-specific features that make the driving sensation more alive.

Like N e-Shift (virtual gear shift/VGS) and N Active Sound+. In the Ioniq 6 N, both features have been improved through a shorter gear ratio and hardware updates.

This car is also equipped with N-Drift Optimized and N Race modes that can be adjusted, as well as an in-built race track map, or users can create their own profile. In the cabin, the Ioniq 6 N interior is said to be optimized for high-performance driving.

Starting from exclusive bucket seats and N-logo metal pedals. Hyundai also includes N logo welcome lights on the front seats, the latest ccNC infotainment system, and an Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (HUD).

In terms of size, this car has a length of 4,935 mm, a width of 1,940 mm, a height of 1,495 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,965 mm. These dimensions make it close to the Porsche Taycan and BMW M3, but at a much more affordable price.

Meanwhile, the price for the United States market has not yet been announced. However, referring to the most expensive Hyundai Ioniq 6 Limited which is currently sold starting at 51,100 US dollars or Rp859 million, the N performance variant is estimated to be priced at around 65,000 to 70,000 dollars, as a comparison, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N 2025 is marketed starting at 66,200 dollars or Rp1.1 billion.
