JAKARTA - In the 10th anniversary celebration, Leapmotor made a splash by launching its latest Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV), the D99 but only revealing the exterior.

Quoting from the Carnewschina website, Monday, December 29, the newly launched D99 joins D19 as Leapmotor's flagship product as the brand's first MPV.

In appearance, the D99's front fascia has the same design language as the D19, featuring three-segment daytime running lights and separate headlights. The front bumper is equipped with an active air intake grille.

The vehicle presents a dynamic and sleek profile with a very slanted A-pillar that combines a triangular window that is perfectly integrated with the roof. The exterior features a two-tone design with a laser radar system mounted on the roof.

From the side, the D99 features a short front overhang but a longer rear overhang and wheelbase. The silver trim accentuates the window line, creating a flush and flat look. The large rear sliding door has a hidden rail for easy access.

At the back, the D99 is equipped with an interactive light screen that supports various lighting patterns. The straight rear design ensures ample space for third row passengers and luggage. Meanwhile, the large trunk door can facilitate loading and unloading, while the chrome accents on the rear bumper enhance the premium aesthetic.

This MPV is expected to share the powertrain option with the D19, thus coming with an EREV version equipped with an 80.3 kWh battery. Using an 800V platform, this battery can be charged from 30 to 80 percent in 15 minutes. As well as a pure EV version that is embedded with a battery with a capacity of 115 kWh.
