JAKARTA - Porsche has just opened an order in the United States (US) for their potential electric SUV, the Cayenne Electric model 2026. Interestingly, this German manufacturer has no trouble finding buyers.
In the first four days alone, Porsche announced that more than 110,000 unique configurations have been recorded through their online configurator features. Or in other words, allowing potential buyers to virtually "build" their dream car. Users can choose from exterior colors, rim designs, material and interior color choices, to additional feature rockets (such as performance, technology, or convenience). This fantastic figure is a new record for the brand.
In addition, as many as 10,500 people have registered their interest through Porsche's "hand-off" program, confirming the high public anticipation of models that will fill the existing joint product lines of gasoline and hybrid versions. Cayenne Electric is expected to arrive at American dealers by the end of summer 2026.

Customization is Key
Porsche believes that the main attraction driving this online traffic record is Cayenne Electric's status as the most customizable SUV in the model's history.
Customers are presented with 13 standard colors, nine rim designs, and dozens of interior choices. The combination of the Algarve Blue Metallic with the Club Leather Espreso interior has so far been a favorite.
Not only that, for buyers who want a touch more exclusive, Porsche also offers a Paint to Sample (PTS) program as well as a Sonderw program. Through a Sonderw fire, customers can order a vehicle that is truly one-off (one-only).
To highlight the possibility of unlimited personalization under the Sonderwtur program, Porsche even showcased the first generation of Cayenne which had been completely restored at the Icons of Porsche event in Dubai.
The 16-year-old SUV was rebuilt from scratch with an exterior coating of Paint to Sample Blackolive and the English Green interior a rare display signaling that Porsche considers this model an emerging classic.
"Cayenne Electric is new from the bottom up ... the most capable, spacious, and performance-oriented iteration ever," said Porsche Cars North America President and CEO Timo Resch, quoted from Autoweek, Thursday, November 27.
Cayenne remains one of Porsche's most important models in the US, accounting for more than 22.000 sales last year. This initial demand level confirms Cayenne's vital role in the brand's electrification transition.
