Test Distance Of Wuling Darion PHEV Bali' Jakarta, Tembus More Than 1,200 Kilometers!

JAKARTA Wuling Darion PHEV's long journey from Bali to Jakarta has finally reached the finish line. After three days of traveling through various road characters without even refilling gasoline or electricity, the media group, including VOI, succeeded in proving the efficiency and resilience of the latest MPV of Wuling's electrification.

The second wave of Media Drive this time confirms the ability of Darion PHEV as a hybrid MPV that is ready for long trips. All units recorded a distance of more than 1,200 km. The VOI team who are members of Group C along with Kompas, Kumparan, and Pos Kota recorded a distance of 1,207.3 km, with 21 km (26 percent) of battery remaining (26 percent) and 50 km of gasoline upon arrival in Jakarta.

Marketing Director of Wuling Motors, Ricky Christian, expressed his appreciation to all participants who participated in this cross-island challenge. According to him, the long route from Bali to Jakarta provides tangible evidence for energy efficiency, performance, and cabin comfort of Darion PHEV in various road conditions.

"We congratulate all teams who have successfully completed the challenge of How Far Can You Go Challenge with extraordinary results. This achievement further confirms the competence of the PHEV Darion as a family car that is ready to accompany long-distance travel," he said at the Cilandak finishing point, Wednesday night, November 19.

Throughout the journey, all units of the PHEV Darion appeared consistent thanks to the smart work of the Ling Power Hybrid System which combines electric motors and gasoline engines. The Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) system also ensures that the distribution of energy remains smooth and efficient, both when crossing the coast, climbing hills, driving stably on toll roads, and stuck in city congestion.

Production Communication Manager of Wuling Motors, Danang Wiratmoko, added that the Bali 'Jakarta journey is an opportunity for media colleagues to explore the entire Driving Mode and Energy Mode Dario PHEV.

The selection of modes such as Eco, Standard, to Sport, as well as energy settings ranging from EV Max, EV First, HEV, to Fuel Priority, is proven to help the team manage the driving strategy optimally. As a result, all participants successfully completed the long route without refilling," he explained.

On the comfort side, the PHEV Darion also shows its class as a premium MPV. The cabin configuration is 2+2+3, the electric captain seats with ventilation, the leg room is relieved, to the pairing of Walnut Brown and Carbon Black interiors makes the journey feel comfortable for three days. The AC system with a PM2.5 filter also ensures that the cabin air remains clean along the inter-regional trajectory.

The second wave route is divided into three etape: Bali' Banyuwangi as far as 148 km, Banyuwangi 'Solo about 520 km, and the last stage of Solo' Jakarta is about 530 km. Each stage presents a landscape and different traffic conditions "starting from the beach, uphill routes, mountain bends, to the long Trans Java toll road" provide a complete driving experience for participants.

The unit used is the Wuling Darion PHEV type EX, the highest variant with complete features such as Level 2 ADAS, Electric Captain Seat with Ventilated Seat, Wuling Indonesian Command in English, Auto-Comfort Sliding Door, sunset, six airbags, and various other modern features. All color choices, from Haze Gray, Frosty White, Starry Black, to Orbid Purple, also appear in this activity.
