Wuling Darion Has Ordered 1,300 Units, The Most Interested EV Variant

JAKARTA - An environmentally friendly car from Wuling that recently launched, namely Darion, turns out to be quite attractive to many consumers in Indonesia. In fact, the Vehicle Ordering Letter (SPK) is claimed to have reached 1,300 units.

This was revealed by the Brand Communication Senior Manager of Wuling Motors Brian Gomgom. He said the data was obtained by (1,300) units per week.

"From last night we got the report, it has reached 1,300 units for bookings," he said, when met in Bali, Monday, November 17.

Wuling Darion itself comes in pure electric (EV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) versions, of the two variants above, the man who is familiarly called Gomgom revealed the most attractive version of electricity, the figure reaching more than 50 percent.

"Dominan is still the EV because Wuling's own mindset is still EV, right. So, for Darion acceptance, this EV is very fast because there is also an EV experience in Wuling," he added.

He further expressed confidence that the numbers above will continue to grow, because Wuling had planned to present the latest model to a number of regions in Indonesia.

"We will launch regionals in Surabaya, Medan and Semarang. We will also bring Darion later at the GJAW exhibition," he explained.

In terms of appearance, Cortez Darion carries a futuristic sliding-door MPV design with a firm fit and modern fascia display. Pure electric model, comes with a closed front grip display typical of electric cars. As for the Hybrid variant, carrying a large enough polygonal V grip.

The distance from the electricity version reaches more than 540 km, while PHEV is able to cover a distance of more than 1,000 km.

The price for the Wuling Darion EV is priced starting at Rp356 million, while for PHEV it touched Rp439 million for the first 1,500 customers.
