Electric Car Allegedly Huawei Aito M9 Has Been Registered In Indonesia

JAKARTA The Indonesian electric car market is getting more and more crowded with various selected models. Most recently, the electric car which is suspected to be the Huawei Aito M9 model is registered in Indonesia through industrial design registration at the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI).

Through VOI monitoring, Friday, November 7, an application with the number A002020405895 was submitted by Huawei Technologies located in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China on November 5, 2025.

The design listed shows the appearance of a large SUV with a minimalist style, a combination of two tone colors, and gold accents in several parts of the body. The design is synonymous with the Aito M9 model that has been marketed in China.

In its home country, Aito M9 comes in two variants, namely EV (pure electricity) and EV (Electric Extended Range Vehicle). This SUV has a length dimension of 5,230 mm, a width of 1,999 mm, a height of 1,800 mm, with a wheelbase of 3,110 mm.

The Aito M9 cabin is configured for six passengers with a trunk capacity that can be arranged from 316 liters to 1,252 liters. In terms of performance, the pure electric variant is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 100 kWh capable of generating up to 523 hp and 673 Nm torque.

Aito M9 can cover a distance of 605 to 630 kilometers in one charge, with a maximum speed of 200 km per hour and acceleration from 0100 km per hour in 4.7 seconds. Until now, there has been no official announcement from Huawei regarding the planned launch of this SUV in Indonesia.

However, the registration of the industrial design is a strong indication that Huawei is preparing strategic steps to bring its premium electric car to the national market. Although actually, Aito M9 was exhibited by Seres in Indonesia, a sub-brand from DFSK.
