The Latest Hyundai EO Electric Car Starts Selling In China, Priced At IDR 200 Million

JAKARTA - Beijing Hyundai officially launched its newest compact SUV, Hyundai EO, also known as Olexio. This all-electric model comes in three different variants which are priced from 119,800 yuan or around Rp279 million.

Citing from the Carnewschina page, Thursday, October 30, the model was built on a special platform for global E-GMP electric vehicles, Hyundai EO is positioned as a pure electric-powered compact SUV. All three variants released today offer pure CLTC electric range of 540 km.

In design, the exterior is pinned the daytime light running EO light is inspired by the crystal concept, by smooth insertion of digital "8" numbers into its shape. From the side of it offers a firm proportion, making this car look modern. In terms of dimensions, the car has a length of 4,615 mm, a width of 1,875 mm, and a height of 1,675 mm with a wheelbase of 2750 mm.

On the interior, Beijing's Hyundai EO adopts a graded central console design, replacing a traditional LCD instrument panel with a long-range head-up display.

The car is also equipped with a multifunctional two-colour steering wheel and a stunning 27-inch dual-linked 4K screen for passenger infotainment and display. The console area is equipped with a pullable storage compartment, double wireless charging pads, and a four-cup design.

In terms of features, this new SUV will offer a Bose sound system, panoramic sunscreen with an electric sun shield, double-layer acoustic glass, electric backdoor, and various driving modes.

Regarding its performance, the single-wheeled motor variant will produce a maximum power of 160 kW (215 hp), while the double-motor version of all wheels will produce a maximum power of 233 kW (312 hp). In addition, a 64.2 kWh battery configuration is also embedded.
