Xpeng G6 Facelift 2026 Arrested Road Test, Presents New Design And Technology

JAKARTA Electric car manufacturer from China, Xpeng, is again preparing an update version of its flagship electric SUV, G6, which is expected to launch in 2026. This model was recently caught on camera conducting road tests in Australia, signaling its launch is getting closer to the right steering market.

Launching from Drive, Tuesday, October 28, the latest version of G6 is said to have brought a number of significant improvements, both in terms of performance and design. One of the main advantages is 800 volts of fast charging technology.

Where, it allows the battery to charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in just about 12 minutes. For the Long Range and AWD Performance variants, the Xpeng G6 is equipped with an iron phosphate (LFP) lithium battery with a capacity of 80.8 kWh.

The AWD Performance version offers up to 358 kW of power and 660 Nm of torque, with an acceleration of 0100 km/hour in about 4.1 seconds. This figure places it between high-performance electric SUVs in the middle class.

From the exterior side, the G6 facelift features a more modern design with a new light bar model forelight, an enhanced front and rear bumper, as well as a stripe-style backlight that is integrated with a spoiler. The selection of body colors and rim designs is also updated to make it more futuristic.

Entering the cabin, Xpeng presents an update in the form of a larger central screen, ambient lighting, and premium interior materials. This change is expected to increase comfort as well as strengthen the impression of luxury.

In Thailand, the G6 Long Range is sold starting at around US$64,300 or equivalent to Rp694 million, while the AWD Performance variant is priced at around US$71,000 or Rp768 million. Even so, Xpeng has not announced an official price for the Australian market.

The launch of this update version of the Xpeng G6 marks the company's serious steps in expanding its global reach, especially in the right steering market. With a combination of fast charging technology, high performance, and modern design, the G6 2026 has the potential to become one of the most interesting electric SUVs in its class.
