Legendary Analog Supercar Lamborghini Diablo SV Ready To Be Auctioned In London November 1

JAKARTA One rare and iconic unit from the analog supercar era, Lamborghini Diablo SV produced in 1997, will be auctioned off on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at an auction in London, England.

For information, Diablo SV still represents an era where the performance and experience of driving are still dominated by pure mechanisms and interactions between drivers and machines, with minimal electronic interference. The term "analogue" is used to distinguish it from modern supercars that rely heavily on "digital" technology and computerization.

This Lamborghini Diablo SV has a V-12 engine and is expected to sell for between 375,000 and 425,000 (around Rp. 8.3 billion to Rp. 9.4 billion).

Reporting from the website of RM Sotheby's auction house, Thursday, October 23, Diablo SV, which means Super Veloce or "fast super," is known as a model that restores Lamborghini's focus on pure driver-centric designs, by carrying a lighter rear wheel drive (RWD) configuration, instead of an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system like in Diablo VT.

This unit, which will be auctioned off, stands out thanks to the appearance of the manufacturer, which is highly sought after by the striking Olympus Green color exterior combined with the knowledge interior (Hitam) with a seam and a vise in contrast. The car is also equipped with rare features such as full-leader seats and the carbon fiber rear wing of Diablo SVR, which is believed to be unique to the British market.

Under the engine hood, there is the legendary heart of Lamborghini: a V-12 5.7 liter naturally approved engine. This machine is capable of vomiting up to 510 hp and 580 Nm torque, making it one of the fastest cars of its time. Diablo SV is capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph (0-97 km/hour) in less than four seconds and has a peak speed of 191 mph (307 km/hour).

This car is even more special because it was sent in 1997 to its first owner, Mr. Howard Furr-Barton, an active racer at the Gran Turismo and Lamborghini World Trophy events. The racing background describes the specifications of the super-spec cars, including the SVR rear wing.

Diablo SV is not only a high-performance car, but also a cultural icon, especially after being immortalized as a cover car for the Need for Speed game franchise, which introduces its raw and dramatic character to a new generation of automotive enthusiasts.

This unit, which is auctioned, has traveled 52,821 kilometers in the current odometer. The car also just received treatment in October 2025 by Silverstone-based Keys Motorsport, ensuring its mechanical condition is prime. The car will be offered as Lot 134 at auction in London.
