The PHEV Geely Galaxy Starshine 6 Sedan Is Ready To Be Launched Globally

JAKARTA Geely Galaxy is preparing to introduce its newest plug-in hybrid (PHEV) sedan, Starshine 6, in a global launch scheduled to take place on October 30, 2025. This model has previously opened orders in China.

At that time the order was opened at a price of 85,800 yuan or around Rp. 200 million, and it is estimated that when the official launch will be priced cheaper starting at 79,800 yuan or around Rp. 186 million. From the outside view, Starshine 6 stands out with an elegant modern style design.

Gril trapezoids with combined vertical blades with sleek main lights that emphasize futuristic impressions. Conventional door handles and rear-colored mirrors maintain a simple but classy impression.

On the back, full wide lights and a hidden exhaust pipe strengthen the clean and neat sedan character. Turning inward, the cabin is designed with a combination of soft two-tone colors and a layered seat of perforated cotton for maximum comfort.

A 10.2-inch digital instrument panel combined with a 14.6-inch floating central display powered by the Flyme Auto system. In addition, there is a 50-W wireless charge, a multifunctional steering wheel, and a transmission setup on the lever behind the wheel.

Reporting from Carnewschina, Thursday, October 23, Starshine 6 is equipped with an EM 2.0 hybrid series engine, which combines 1.5 liters of naturally assisted gasoline with 82 kW (110 dk) power and a 120 kW (160 dk) electric motor.

The standard version uses an 8.5 kWh LFP battery which is capable of traveling a distance of up to 60 km in pure electric mode, while the highest variant is equipped with a 17 kWh battery with an electric distance of 125 km.

In terms of efficiency, the consumption of car fuel is only 2.8 liters per 100 km, making it one of the most efficient hybrid sedans in class. The highest speed is claimed to reach 180 km/hour.

Regarding dimensions, this car has a length of 4,806 mm, a width of 1,886 mm, a height of 1,490 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,756 mm. Suspension relies on the MacPherson system at the front and torsion beam at the back, with a rim option of 16 or 17 inches.

Driver safety and assistance features are also the main selling point. Starshine 6 is equipped with the H3 G-Pilot system that utilizes 11 cameras, three millimeter wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. This technology supports NOA (Navigate On Autopilot) functions on toll roads and urban areas, including automated parking features.

As part of the new energy vehicle line (NEV) launched since 2023, Geely Galaxy now has 12 models spread across various segments. Starshine 6's presence strengthens Geely's hybrid sedan portfolio and is ready to compete with popular models such as BYD Seal 06 DM-i in China's domestic market.
