This Is The Wuling Starlight 560 Present In The Variant Of Pure Gasoline, Hybrid, And Electricity

JAKARTA SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) is back in the spotlight after their latest SUV, Wuling Starlight 560, was caught on camera testing the road in China. This model is attracting attention because it will be available in three choices of driving systems, namely gasoline engines (ICE), plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and pure electricity (BEV).

In terms of dimensions, Starlight 560 has a length of 4,745 mm, a width of 1,850 mm, a height of 1,755 mm (or 1,770 mm), and a wheelbase of 2,810 mm. This car will also be offered in five and seven seats, so as to adjust the needs of family and daily users.

For the gasoline-engine variant, this SUV is equipped with a 1.5 turbo engine capable of generating up to 130 kW of power or about 174 horse power, with a manual transmission option of six accelerations and CVT. As quoted from Carnewschina, Monday, October 20.

Meanwhile, the plug-in hybrid version will use a 78 kW (105 horseshoe) powered 1.5 liter engine, combined with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with a capacity of 20.5 kWh. The combination is claimed to be able to cover a distance of up to 100 kilometers in pure electric mode according to the CLTC cycle.

For the pure electric variant (BEV), Wuling provides Starlight 560 with a 100 kW (134 horse power) electric motor and two battery options, namely 54.5 kWh and 56.7 kWh. Its travel distance is claimed to reach between 450 to 500 kilometers based on CLTC testing.

The empty weight of this car ranges from 1,630 to 1,730 kilograms, depending on battery configurations and additional features. From the outside display, the ICE and PHEV variants display a large black grille design with a honeycomb pattern and aggressive dual-bander headlights.

While the full electric version (BEV) uses a closed front design with a black panel connecting the two main lights, gives a modern and aerodynamic impression. Although SGMW has not announced its official launch time or selling price, the Wuling Starlight 560 is believed to strengthen the brand's position in the medium SUV segment.
