JAKARTA Wuling officially introduced a new brand called Aishaang to strengthen its position in the urban electric vehicle market. This step is referred to as an effort by the company to advance to class, targeting young consumers with tiny electric cars that remain affordable.

The first model of Aishaang is A100C, a two-door electric city car with a capacity of four passengers. The car began mass production at the end of last September and is scheduled to launch on the Chinese market in October 2025.

In design, the A100C is compact with dark pillars, aerodynamic boost wheels, and headlights with distinctive expressions. Regarding the dimensions, the A100C has a length of 3,285 mm, a width of 1,708 mm, a height of 1,550 mm, with a wheelbase of 1,980 mm.

This car is slightly bigger than the latest Wuling Mini EV. The power comes from a single 35 kW electric motor with a torque of 83 Nm, combined with a 17.65 kWh LFP battery made by God which can cover a distance of up to 220 km according to CLTC standards.

Although Wuling has not announced an official price, products in this segment are usually sold under 100,000 yuan, or around Rp. 232 million. With this price, A100C will compete directly with the Ice Cream and Changan Lumin Chery which will enliven the urban electric car market in China.

Wuling's Deputy General Manager, Wang Zhiqiang, confirmed that the small car market is experiencing significant growth. The launch of Aishaang is a strategy to answer consumer trends that want cost-effective, practical, and suitable cars to be used in big cities.

"In the first half of 2025, small car sales in China rose 63 percent compared to last year, with more than 425,000 units sold," he said, as quoted by Carnewschina, Friday, October 3.

With the presence of the Aishaang brand, Wuling further emphasized its focus on mass electrification, as well as expanding the line of environmentally friendly products. Now, it is interesting to see if Wuling will also bring Aishaang to the international market, including Indonesia.
