Orders Reach 50 Thousand Units In 48 Hours, What's Special About WulingU S?

JAKARTA - SGWM (SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile) has made a positive achievement for its newest product that has just launched, namely calmu S, also known as aployee in the local Chinese market.

According to a report from Carnewschina, quoted on Tuesday, September 30, Wuling won orders of more than 50 thousand units of the model after 48 hours of launch and 7,250 units have been delivered to customers.

So, what makes Binguo S quite attractive in the Chinese market? The key lies in a combination of compact designs, modern features, and pocket-friendly prices.

In dimensions, the Binguo S is relatively tiny with a length of 4,265 mm, a width of 1,785 mm, a height of 1,600 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,610 mm. Although compact, this electric car is still designed to provide a spacious cabin for five passengers. The front row provides a headspace of up to 1,008 mm, while the rear passenger gets a distance between seats of 882 mm, comfortable enough for daily.

The exterior design continues the typical style of Binguo and Binguo Plus which is all round. The front looks unique with retro-style polygonal main lights. Consumers can also choose a combination of two-color body and custom rim design for a more personal impression. At the stern, the back light strip is transparent combined with a silver trim on the lower bumper, making it look more modern.

Entering the cabin, Binguo S offers a warm feel with two interior color options, Soft White and Warm Brown. The standard features are quite complete, ranging from an 8.88-inch instrument panel, a 12.8-inch mid-touch display of floating models, Bluetooth connectivity, start buttons, automatic lights, to crude control. The infotainment system is already connected to the Lingyu AI Wuling platform, which supports Hicar, Carlink, and CarPlay. For higher variants, there are additional panoramic cameras, electric driver seats, front seats with heating, and other comfort features.

In terms of performance, this car is equipped with a single 75 kW-powered TZ180XS275. The power source comes from a lithium-iron-fosphate battery with two capacity options: 31.9 kWh for a distance of CLTC 325 km, and 41.9 kWh with a distance of up to 430 km. DC's fast charging technology is also available, capable of charging 30 80 percent in just 35 minutes.

Interestingly, Wuling equipped this car with Shenlian batteries from internal development, which carries the Modular Ultra-Safety Technology (MUST) structure. This technology is claimed to be able to increase battery durability as well as battery security.

In terms of price, Binguo S is offered in four variants with a tag from 66,800 yuan to 79,800 yuan, or around Rp. 156 million to Rp. 186 million. Coupled with subsidies, the price is getting more and more tempting for consumers in the Bamboo Curtain country.
