JAKARTA PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) officially launched Gran Max Blind Van 1.5 A/T, the first commercial vehicle in its class equipped with automatic transmission. This launch is Daihatsu's effort to answer the business's needs for more practical, comfortable, and secure operational vehicles amid the growth of e-commerce and last-mile delivery logistics services.

Marketing Director and Corporate Communication Director of ADM, Sri Agung Handayani, said the launch of Gran Max Blind Van 1.5 A/T is a form of appreciation for consumers who have made Gran Max the main choice for nearly two decades.

"We understand that the business world is now demanding operational vehicles that are not only strong but also comfortable and safe. Gran Max Blind Van 1.5 A/T is here as Daihatsu's commitment to present a solution to modern business mobility," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, September 17.

Gran Max Blind Van 1.5 A/T equipped with a 1,500 cc engine Dual VVT-i powered by 97 HP and torque 134 Nm, an increase of 9 percent compared to the 1.3 variant. Automatic transmission is expected to provide easy driving on crowded urban roads.

Other supporting features include Electric Power Steering, AC with airflow direction settings, seat sliding seat and adjustment headrest, Headlamp Levelling, and Fuel Lid Opener.

In terms of safety, this model is equipped with Dual SRS Airbag, Retractable Seatbelt with a Pretensioner, Immobilizer, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), ABS, and EBD. Gran Max Blind Van 1.5 A/T also comes with an R14 velg and a larger tire, making the ground clearance increase to 180 mm or an increase of 15 mm from before.
