Honda Starts Selling This Mungil Electric Car In Japan, Offers 295 Km Of Travel Distance

JAKARTA - Honda has officially announced the sale of its newest electric car called N-ONE in Japan starting today. This latest model is said to provide powerful performance and various advantages offered.

Hidetomo Hotta, which is responsible for car development, said the model was present to target affordable users. To achieve carbon neutrality, it is important to deploy EVs to passenger models.

In discussions about deciding the light passenger EV model as Honda, a proposal to underlie it on "N-ONE", a model that inherited the ambition of "N360", from Honda's light passenger car, he said, quoted from his official website, Friday, September 12.

This compact electric car presents powerful, environmentally friendly performance, and EV silence, with a distance of up to 295 km that provides peace in daily use.

Honda N-ONE e: inherits Honda's philosophy, namely Man Maximum, a Minimum Machine that has been the basis since the Honda N360 era in the 1960s. This spirit is embodied in the concept of 'Daily Partner' which supports consumer mobility and lifestyle by presenting spaces, ease of use, and typical EV daily practice such as power supply functions and V2H (Vehicle to Home).

The cabin room remains comfortable for four adults thanks to the placement of batteries under the floor. The typical flexibility of Honda N-ONE is maintained through a dive-down mechanism that allows rear seats to be folded evenly aligned with baggage, as well as a tip-up mechanism for loading high-end goods.

This flexible layout provides high practicality in various situations. To bring a better driving position, the steering wheel is now adjusted closer to the driver without changing the sitting position. The front hood with an innovative design improves visibility and facilitates maneuvers in urban areas.

The high dimension of the car is made the same as N-ONE, making it easy to park in a graded parking building and efficient thanks to low air drag. The exterior appears light but stable with a firm front fender and a three-dimensional curved backdoor. Charging ports are placed in the front grip, similar to Honda N-VAN e:, to facilitate access when charging.

Interior N-ONE e: uses a bio-resin-based instrument panel with a slim design to give the impression of relief and expand the forward view. There is also a 7-inch LCD meter TFT that contains various driving information. For consumers who rarely use navigation, there is a screenless version with a flat instrument panel, creating a simple but still spacious and functional interior, and equipped with Bluetooth connectivity to play music from smartphones.

Honda N-ONE e: equipped with a compact electric powertrain with a large capacity of thin batteries, namely 29.6 kWh. Smooth and silent acceleration combined with high stability thanks to the low center of gravity.

Electric servo brakes technology presents a comfortable natural deeleration, while the single pedal control feature, for the first time on a Honda minicar, allows acceleration, deseleration, to stop completely with only a gas pedal, so driving in urban areas becomes more practical.

The charging time is about 30 minutes for fast charging and about 4.5 hours for standard charging. The battery cooling and heating system maintains the stability of the distance across all seasons.

This car can also be used as a Honda Power Supply Connector, with an external electric output of up to 1,500 W, can be used for other outdoor activities, as well as a source of household emergency.

All N-ONE e variants: equipped with the advanced Honda SENSING safety feature. This model is also Honda's first minicar with Traffic Jam Assist, driving assistance in traffic jams.

The car is also equipped with a Post-Collition Braking System to reduce the risk of further damage after the collision. Honda N-ONE e: offered in two variants and several color choices including Cheerful Green, Platinum White Pearl, Fjord Mist Pearl, Seabed Blue Pearl, and Lunar Silver Metallic.
