BYD Yangwang U8L With A Weight Of 3.6 Tons Ready To Debut September 12

JAKARTA The giant automotive manufacturer from China BYD is preparing to enliven the luxury vehicle market with the launch of its newest model, Yangwang U8L.

The premium Yangwang U8L SUV will launch on September 12 at 19:30 Beijing time, promising a mix of the latest luxury, performance, and technology.

Reported by ChinaEVHome, Thursday, September 4, as an extended-wheelbase variant of the U8 series, Yangwang U8L comes with a larger dimension. The length increases 81 mm and the wheelbase distance extends 200 mm compared to the standard U8 model. This increase allows configuration of six seats, with two zero-gravity seats in the second row designed for maximum comfort.

Exclusive Features And Superior Technology

Priced at 1.3 million yuan or equivalent to IDR 2.9 billion and with an empty weight of 3,595 kg and a total vehicle weight of 4,210 kg, BYD provides Yangwang U8L with exclusive features that distinguish it from competitors.

The exterior looks striking with a special paint that is only available for this model. The details of the 24K gold logo with oracle bone carvings provide a unique luxurious touch, while 23-inch tempa wheels strengthen the dashing and premium impressions.

Behind the luxury, U8L is powered by the sophisticated four-motor Yi Sifang system with a 2.0T range expander engine. This combination generates a total power of 880 kW (1,180 hp) and a torque of 1,280 Nm. This vehicle has a combined range of up to 1,160 km. The machine is combined with the control of Yun Nian-P hydraulic body. This combination not only provides extraordinary performance, but also a unique set of capabilities, including:
