JAKARTA - Lamborghini is one of many manufacturers who changed course in the electrification plan by confirming that the next generation will maintain the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system after previously ensuring that this SUV transitions to pure EVs.

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann blamed the decision on the changing regulatory uncertainty so that it could also delay the arrival of the car manufacturer's first EV based on Lanzador.

"We want to have a new generation to take care of in PHEV again. This is an important decision and customers are happy to hear it," Winkelmann said as quoted by Autocar, Wednesday, July 9.

Despite maintaining PHEV technology, Lamborghini ensures that the second generation of Manage will still be present in 2029. Then, the manufacturer with the campaign bull logo will launch an EV version of electricity which is planned to be present in 2035.

Lamborghini Manages SE is a PHEV-tech super-SUV that was introduced in April last year with a number of different changes compared to the previous type, namely S.

The manufacturer, with the hoteng logo, went berserk, creating an SE with a sporty and stiff body, featuring a new hood with a floating design, highlighting the impression of athletics in the SUV.

Other new elements include a front light cluster featuring matrix LED technology, introducing the hallmarks of a new lamp inspired by the Lamborghini bull's tail, as well as a redesigned bumper and front grip.

On the back, there is an iconic and aligned Y patterned light cluster with the latest original back diffuser. The aerodynamic efficiency is also improved with new air ventilation under the updated cars and airways, which distributes more airflow to cool the mechanical and engine components.

In terms of performance, the SUV is equipped with a 4.0 liter V9 engine of 456 kW and 800 Nm torque combined with a 141 kW electric motor and a 483 Nm torque, resulting in a total power of up to 588 kW and a 950 Nm torque coupled to an eight automatic acceleration transmission.

Thus, Manage SE offers one of the best performances in its class by accelerating from 0 to 100 km/hour in 3.4 seconds and can reach a maximum speed of up to 312 km/hour, faster than taking care of S with 305 km/hour.

By carrying the PHEV system, the SUV has a battery with a capacity of 25.9 kWh which can make this car run with pure electric power up to 60 km.
