BYD Seal 2025 Has A Sophisticated Suspension, Can It Be Installed To The Old Model?

JAKARTA - BYD recently officially launched the New Seal 2025 with several changes, one of which is a smart suspension system called the DiSus-C or known as the Intelligent Damping Body Control System).

Tentu tidak sedikit yang bertanya, apakah sistem tersebut bisa disematkan untuk BYD Seal model sebelumnya? Menjawab hal tersebut Head of Product PT BYD Motor Indonesia Bobby Bharata mengangkat bicara.

"If you replace the old suspension with a new one (Disus-C) technically, that doesn't mean it can't be at all, but it will be too much error and complicated," said Bobby, when met in Mandalika, some time ago.

Not without reason, Bobby revealed that this Disus-C suspension is an integrated technology, which involves electronic control units, advanced sensors to updates from the software and hardware side.

"So, in this new system there is a control unit that sends information to the head of the unit, now for the old model it doesn't exist. So too many sensors have to be changed," he added.

He further said that the old vehicle software could be updated, but if the hardware system was not compatible, it would still not be possible.

"If the hardware on the motherboard does not support the software, it still can't be done," he explained.

So there are indeed many components involving this new suspension. Moreover, this suspension is claimed to be able to read road conditions in real time and adjust the strength of the subsidence automatically.
