BYD Soon To Launch Seal 06 DM-i In England

JAKARTA - BYD further strengthens its existence in the British market. The automotive brand from China will launch Seal 06 DM-i for the King Charles country consumer.

Reporting from Autocar, Tuesday, May 20, this well-known manufacturer will launch the model in a selection of sedans and estate or wagons with plug-in hybrid (PHEV) drivers.

BYD has not provided further information regarding the launch date to its specifications, but technically Seal 06 DM-i for the UK market will not be much different from China.

Both the wagon and sedan versions will have a length dimension of about 4.8 meters with a height of 1.5 meters.

The interior is decorated with advanced features such as an 8.8-inch digital gauge cluster, a 15.6-inch turning touch screen, and a choice of physical buttons on the center console and steering wheel.

BYD Seal 06 DM-i relies on the PHEV driving system from a 1.5 liter gasoline engine measuring 98 hp combined with electric propulsion, thus providing a total output of 160 hp or 213 hp.

Thus, the car can speed up from 0 to 100 km/hour in less than 8 seconds. Each variant of the driving system distributes all its power to the front wheels, assisted by the CVT dental change system.

Equipped with a choice of 10 kWh and 16 kWh batteries, the car can run with pure electric power up to 37 miles (59 km) or 56 miles (90 km).

BYD also has not disclosed the price of this car, but it is estimated that the price tag is not much different from the Seal-U PHEV of around 33,000 pounds (Rp725.1 million).

Seal 06 DM-i will be the seventh model marketed in the UK following the emergence of Atto 3, Dolphin, Seal, Seal-U, Sealion 7, and the upcoming Dolphin Surf.
