Chery Tiggo 8 CSH Officially Launches In Indonesia, Price Of IDR 400 Million

JAKARTA - After being introduced to the public some time ago, PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) finally revealed the price of Tiggo 8 CSH. The car, which fills the SUV 7 seater segment, is priced at IDR 499 million (OTR Jakarta) for the first 1,000 consumers.

Tiggo 8 CSH itself became the first SUV embedded with Super Hybrid Chery technology. Carrying the spirit of Revolution of Mobility, Chery Tiggo 8 CSH comes as an answer to various mobility challenges in Indonesia, such as environmental issues (global warming, climate change) and the need for efficiency in long trips (homecoming/long drive).

Similar to his brother, Jaecool J7 SHS, Chery Tiggo 8 CSH comes by combining the advantages of Super Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) and Electric Vehicle (EV) technology, this Premium 7-Seater SUV is also designed as a solution to the limitations of pure electric vehicles, ranging from limited charging infrastructure to travel distance concerns.

Head of Brand Department of PT Chery Sales Indonesia, Rifkie Setiawan, said that Chery always presents vehicles that not only offer the best comfort and performance, but are also able to touch the emotional side. The philosophy is realized through Chery Tiggo 8 CSH.

"As a Premium SUV with a 7-SEATER configuration equipped with Chery Super Hybrid technology, Tiggo 8 CSH is a revolutionary breakthrough, especially in the hybrid segment with an electric car driving flavor that offers the comfort of a quiet cabin, energy performance, and better energy efficiency than conventional hybrids," he said, during the launch at the Royal Glass House Park Hyatt, Central Jakarta, Thursday night, May 15.

In terms of the kitchen runway, Tiggo 8 CSH is embedded with an ACTECO H4J15 engine with a capacity of 1,500 cc turbo, which is developed exclusively for the fifth generation Chery Super Hybrid platform. This machine is capable of generating power of 143 PS and torques of up to 215 Nm and electric motors with a maximum power of 204 PS and 310 Nm torque with very efficient fuel consumption, reaching 76+ Km/liter based on NEDC (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIT) of China which adopts the NEDC standard) testing.

To support the performance of long-distance driving and daily activities, Chery Tiggo 8 CSH is pinned with Lithium Iron Phosphate (Li-Po) batteries that have pocketed IP68 Waterproof certification, extreme temperature resistance -35 degC to 60 degC, with EV mode coverage distances as far as 90 km.

This battery also supports fast charging, from 30 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes via CCS2 port. When battery power runs low while driving, the engine operating will automatically supply power. With full fuel and battery conditions, Chery TIGGO 8 CSH is capable of traveling up to 1,300 km.
