BYD Qin L EV Capai 10 Thousand Orders In The First Week After Launch

JAKARTA - BYD launched a medium-sized electric sedan, Qin L EV at the end of March. Competing in the lower middle segment, the car quickly received good interest in China.

Reporting from CarNewsChina, Thursday, April 10, this well-known car manufacturer from the bamboo curtain country received 10,089 orders in the first week after its official launch.

The Qin L EV model is here for young consumers at home. One of the lines of the Dynasty series is offered with three different trims.

The sedan was built with an e-Platform 3.0 Evo architecture developed by BYD, with a length of 4,720 mm, a width of 1,880 mm, a height of 1,495 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,820 mm. Not only that, BYD claims Qin L EV has a minimum rotation radius of up to 5.4 meters.

With an outward display showing a semi-premium impression, Qin L EV is offered in four colors, namely gray, white, green, and beige.

The sedan is equipped with advanced features embedded in the interior, covering an 8.8-inch LCD instrument screen and a 12.8-inch central control screen. All of these systems are assisted by DiLink 100 technology which is integrated into AI.

Meanwhile, the top trim is equipped with a 12-inch W-HUD, a 15.6-inch floating center control screen, and the presence of a heating and cooling refrigerator.

BYD Qin L EV is one of the many models that has the latest ADAS technology, namely God's Eye C DiPlot 100 which consists of three cameras to navigate high-speed auto-pilot, intelligent parking, automatic emergency braking, and blind spot monitoring.

The car also has a built-in sensor covering five millimeter wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 12 cameras. Another capability offered is 'memory navigation', coming soon through over-the-air (OTA) updates.

There are two powertrain options offered for Qin L EV, namely an electric motorbike measuring 148 hp and 220 Nm torque and 215 hp and 330 Nm torque.

Each option has a 46.08 kWh capacity battery with a range of 470 km and 56.64 kWh for a distance of 545 km according to the CLTC cycle.

This futuristic sedan was sold from 119,800 yuan to the highest reaching 139,800 yuan or equivalent to Rp274.4 million to Rp321 million.
