Unfortunately, BMW X5 Was Latest Stuck In The Snow While Being Tested

JAKARTA - In recent times, BMW has been designing and testing a number of the latest models including X5. The model will use the basis of the Neue Classe concept which is a new standard in the lineup of its future models.

This SUV-shaped car is also being tested on various terrains in order to prove its toughness, one of which is in a snowy area. Unfortunately, these development activities actually experienced problems.

Carscoops reported on Saturday, February 8, that the latest generation of BMW X5 was seen being tested on a road in a snowy area in the Arctic Circle. Apparently, this one car had fallen off the embankment and was then caught in a thick snow.

This makes the car have to get help from other cars to be lifted from a thick chunk of snow. Luckily, the driver was not injured.

While it's unclear whether the prototype was damaged, the snow was deep enough that another X5 couldn't pull it easily. This makes him have to get help with an excavator.

Finally the vehicle was dug out, allowing it to be pulled to a safe place. Although this is good news, the incident closed testing routes for most of the afternoon.

This latest BMW X5 will adopt a similar design language like the Neue Classe X concept that has been shown to the public some time ago.

The original shape of the car looks quite clear with the front decorated with a smaller kidney grip with sharp lights such as the Neue Classe X concept. Other interesting features include flat door handles and the rear wing which reminds XM.

It is reported that both X5 and iX5 will be present in several variants. First, the car was caught on camera with a larger brake system with a striking red Kaliper as well as showing that this is a high performance version.

It is estimated that BMW will offer the X5 model in pure ICE and hybrid versions alongside iX5 is an electric vehicle (EV) line. Another possibility is that BMW will present the latest version of fuel cells (FCEV), iX5 Hydrogen using technology from Toyota.

There is no certainty when this medium-sized luxury SUV will launch, but rumors say it will debut in the summer of 2026 as a 2027 model.
