Geely Opens Pre-Essing Tesla Model Y Competitors In Australia, Here Are The Details Of The Specifications

JAKARTA - China's automotive manufacturer Geely is expanding its global market by presenting the EX5 SUV for the Australian market and will be the ideal competitor for Tesla Model Y and BYD Atto 3.

CarExpert reported, Wednesday, February 5, that one of these well-known automotive brands has opened pre-orders and revealed the specifications of the model for Kanguru country consumers.

In this market, Geely will provide EX5 in two different variants, namely Complete and Inspire. However, both are present in the 160 kW electric motor and 300 Nm torque driven front wheels and 60.22 kWh battery.

Despite having the same driving and battery, these two variants differ in terms of distance. The Complete Type is claimed to be able to go as far as 430 km and the Inspire can provide a range of 410 km according to the WLTP cycle.

Geely EX5 is built on the Global Intelligent New Energy Architecture (GEA) platform which is designated for Geely Auto's electric vehicle.

According to manufacturer claims, the GAE-based system has advanced technology that prioritizes value in hardware systems, systems, ecology, and AI.

The interior is designed by focusing the minimalist and practicalist sides as well as the presence of a 10.2-inch panel instrument display, 15.4-inch mid-control screen supported by the Flyme Auto system, head-up display, and the ADAS level 2 system.

In addition, standard equipment for this car includes Automatic Climate Control, Seat Heating, Cooling, Ventilation, & Massage Functions, and 50W wireless smartphone charging.

For the Australian market, Geely EX5 will be offered in five different colors consisting of Arctic White, Shadow Black, Volcanic Gray, Moonlit Silver, and Aquatic Green.

Unfortunately, this brand does not want to reveal the official selling price. As an illustration, this car uses the name Galaxy E5 in China, starting from 109,800 yuan to 145,800 yuan (IDR 246.8 million to IDR 327.8 million).

Geely also came back to the Indonesian market and introduced EX5 with a pre-order of only IDR 10,000 which is valid until February 12.
