Subaru Introduces The 2026 Hybrid Crosstrek Model In The US, Carrying Third Generation Hybrid Technology

JAKARTA - Recently, Subaru introduced the 2026 Crosstrack Hybrid model in the United States (US). The model will be embedded with third-generation hybrid technology equipped with a hybrid series-parallel system that is developed independently in synergy with the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system.

Launching from the brand's official website, Friday, January 17, the latest Subaru hybrid powertrain is designed to connect offline into the all-wheel drive architecture without reducing its performance capabilities.

This compact crossover is powered by a 2.5 liter Boxer engine combined with an electric motor and Symmetrical AWD and CVT Lineartronic transmission so that it emits a total of 194 hp.

Just like hybrid cars in general, this Subaru Crosstrek is equipped with a 1.1 kWh-capacity lithium-ion battery that helps it reduce emissions and increase fuel efficiency.

By design, the Hybrid Crosstrek has no difference with other variants. However, this one car is equipped with an 18-inch old gray rim and features two exclusive color choices such as Sand Dune Pearl and Citron Yellow Pearl which are devoted to this type.

The Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid 2026 is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster with Apple Maps navigation and compliability systems as well as a Multimedia Plus system from the 11.6-inch Subaru Starlink that can connect to the Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto.

The multimedia system also functions as a center for information display with a combination meter integration and on-screen control for audio, climate, and vehicle functions.

This car is also embedded in the latest ADAS technology upgrade called EyeSight which can operate more smoothly and quickly compared to the previous version.

The increase consists of a wider field of view, updated software, and additional electric brake boosters.

Furthermore, EyeSight can identify cyclists and pedestrians at the intersection faster, warning drivers to respond by braking to avoid collisions.

Other active safety features include Reverse Automatic Braking, Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Then, the 2026 Hybrid Crosstrack is equipped with an Emergency Stop Assist to Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control.

The Japanese manufacturer has not disclosed the price, but it is certain that the Hybrid Crosstrek will go on sale in the fall of this year in the US.
