JAKARTA - Recently, Volkswagen (VW) achieved a milestone in terms of efficiency in ID.7 Pro S electric vehicles. The car managed to cover a distance of up to 941 km in one charge after being tested by the road on the Nardo circuit, Italy.

This exceeds the reach claimed by WLTP which reached 709 km, up 32.7 percent. VW also claims the sedan has an efficient energy average consumption of only 9.2 kWh/100 km.

The manufacturer also claims that this figure is equivalent to the consumption of diesel fuel which is only 1 liter per 100 km. The purpose of the test is to prove the availability of electrical energy from the ID.7 Pro S.

Reporting from the official VW website, Friday, January 17, the ID.7 Pro S testing was completed in December by professional driver Volkswagen Driving Experience in the Low Speed Ring, Nardo, Italy with a temperature of about 5-15 degrees Celsius.

This circuit allows for various traffic scenarios and effective simulation of resilience tests. During testing, this one car is driven at an average speed of 29 km/hour or equivalent to a rate in dense urban vehicles.

VW ID.7 Pro S has an 86 kWh battery pack designed as a high-efficiency production model in its class. The car also didn't get any modifications during testing.

This car can also carry out fast charging with a DC device measuring 200 kW, so it can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 26 minutes. The battery can also be charged for a distance of 244 km in just 10 minutes.

In addition to batteries, these efficiency results were also obtained thanks to a strong aerodynamics and a more sophisticated driving system. The manufacturer claims the ID.7 Pro S has a low barrier coefficient of 0.23.

This electric motorbike called APP550 is designed by prioritizing the economic side but without losing its performance.

This drive is integrated into the back doubles, resulting in a maximum torque of up to 545 Nm which allows it to consume electricity between 16.2 and 13.6 kWh/100 km in the WLTP cycle. With this powertrain package, VW ID.7 Pro S can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in just 6.6 seconds.
