BYD Opens Ordering Seal 05 DM-i Sedan, Take A Peek At The Specifications

JAKARTA - BYD officially opened an order for the Seal 05 DM-i sedan for the local Chinese market after previously being caught on camera several times testing the road.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Wednesday, January 8, BYD offers the model with three variants priced starting from 89,800-109,800 yuan or around Rp198-242 million.

The Seal 05 DM-i sedan has a length dimension of 4,780 mm, a width of 1,837 mm, and a height of 1,515 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,718 mm. The model is 50 mm shorter than Seal 06 DM-i and 20 mm shorter than the pure electric Seal.

In design, it is thick with the nuances of the Seal model in general where combining the LED headlights in wave shape, the front grip of the black trapium, because it is still a hybrid, so there is an U-shaped air entry channel. On the back itself is equipped with a wide light. Later, all variants will offer rims measuring 16-17 inches.

Entering the cabin, the sedan intended for this family is equipped with a triple wheel steering wheel, there is also a complete digital instrument cluster, and a touch screen in the middle.

Regarding the heart of the runway, this car is equipped with a naturally assisted 1.5L engine with a maximum output of 74 kW and a 120 kW electric motor. There are also batteries embedded with a capacity of 7.68 kWh and 15.9 kWh.

The battery is claimed to be able to offer 43 km and 90 km of WLTC each. If fully charged with conventional fuel, this car is able to cover a fairly long distance.
