JAKARTA - Ford has just launched Puma Gen-E, the latest electrification model to expand its electric vehicle line in the European market. As an evolution of its very popular version of gasoline, Puma Gen-E offers innovation and performance designed to meet future needs.

General Manager of Ford Blue and Model e Europe, Jon Williams, explained that Puma Gen-E not only presents zero emission powertrain but also provides a pleasant driving experience with a spacious space.

"Puma Gen-E is the best version of Puma, with the most exciting driving experience combined with the incredible efficiency of the powertrain of electricity," Williams said, as reported by Ford's official website, Wednesday, December 4.

In terms of exteriors, Puma Gen-E retains its distinctive modern design, including a persaill' that is now more closed to improve aerodynamics. Its unique rim design also provides a futuristic touch on this crossover.

Entering the interior, Puma Gen-E comes with a modern display equipped with two easily accessible high-definition screens. The latest Ford Sync infotainment system is also integrated with Cloud, offering smooth connectivity. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features make it easier for users, while Alexa Built-in allows interior settings with only voice commands.

Other innovations include a simplified electronic gear transfer behind the steering wheel, making the switch between Drive, Neutral, and Reverse easier. The Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) also comes with features such as Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Centering, and Preventive Speed Assist to improve driving comfort and safety.

Ford also increased Puma Gen-E's baggage capacity with GigaBox which now can accommodate up to 574 liters, providing more flexibility for users.

In terms of performance, Puma Gen-E has a range of up to 376 km with efficient energy consumption, namely 13.1 kWh/100 km. This car also supports fast charging, allowing the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in just 23 minutes. With acceleration of 0-100 km/hour in 8 seconds, this crossover offers an impressive performance for the size of electric vehicles.

Puma Gen-E is already available to be ordered by consumers in Europe and is scheduled to start shipping in the spring of 2025. Production is being carried out at the Ford Otosan plant in Craiova, Romania, known as one of Ford's most advanced assembly facilities.
