Porsche Inaugurates 2 Charging Facilities In Semarang, Facilitates Users Of Intercity Electric Cars

JAKARTA - Porsche Indonesia is again expanding its 'Porsche Destination Charging' charging network for EVs by launching two new locations in Semarang, Central Java, namely the Awan Sewu Boutique Hotel & Suite and the AwanCosta ecotourism destination.

This is the result of a collaboration between Porsche and AwannGroup in providing four AC chargers in both locations. Another interesting thing, where the charger is open to use in all EVs.

General Manager of Porsche Indonesia, Alexander Riedel said the presence of a charging network in the region is to increase convenience for electric vehicle users for intercity travel.

The launch of this new charging location not only represents our ongoing commitment to sustainable mobility, but also increases comfort for our customers when they travel between cities on their electric vehicles throughout Indonesia,' Riedel said in his statement, Saturday, November 30.

The two locations were chosen as EV charging sites because of their strategic location, thus allowing Porsche EV owners in Semarang and other tourists to easily access these facilities.

The addition of Porsche's newest EV charging site in Awan Sewu and AwanCosta reflects our focus on not only developing charging infrastructure but also providing locations that match Porsche's quality and luxury standards,' added Riedel.

The Porsche Destination Charging network has been present in Indonesia since 2022 through its presence at Pullban Bandung Grand Central, Intercontinental Bandung Dago Pakar, Mason Pine Bandung, Pullman Jakarta Central Park, Hotel Tentrem Jogjakarta & Semarang, St Regis Bali, and Andaz Bali.
