JAKARTA - PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI) officially entered Mazda MX-30 into the Indonesian market some time ago after marking its debut at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).

The model started the brand move from Mazda in the pure electrification market in Indonesia in the premium vehicle segment.

After being officially sold in the country's market some time ago, the company claimed that the model had been ordered by consumers.

Chief Operating Officer of PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI), Ricky Thio said that his party had received 6 Vehicle Ordering Letters (SPK) for MX-30 and there was the potential to increase over time.

"We didn't set much of a target, but there were 6 units of SPK MX-30. It's only been about a week since it was launched, but we haven't received any further updates," Thio said when met by reporters at GJAW 2024 at ICE BSD, Tangerang, last Friday, November 22.

Ricky added that his party has provided its unit for the Indonesian market, but there are some customers who want special colors that require indent for up to 3 months

"For some colors, it turns out that there is an pivot, for example if the color is special or not ready, it can be 3 months," added Ricky.

Ricky also admitted that EMI did not provide many units for MX-30 because it considered that the model was only intended for smaller segments.

"Indeed, what we provide is not much because it is not the volume of the maker. However, we present the MX-30 to provide a commitment if we have a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV)," explained Ricky.

Just like other Mazda models, MX-30 is designed to carry the Jinba-Ittai design philosophy that focuses on pleasure in driving.

One of the highlights of this car is coming with 'Freestyle Doors', which is designed to prioritize comfort and security. This door allows passengers to have wide access so that it makes it easier to get in and out of the vehicle.

The crossover is powered by an e-Skyactiv electric motor with a power of 143 ps and a 271 Nm torque, as well as a front-wheel drive and direct-driven transmission system. In addition, the car is equipped with an Electronic G-Vectoring Control Plus (e-GVC Plus) feature that is useful in vehicle stability by adjusting the torque to make it easier to turn.

This vehicle is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 35.5 kWh and is able to cover a distance of up to 200 km according to WLTP calculations.

Inaugurated to the Indonesian market, Mazda MX-30 is priced at IDR 860 million on The Road DKI Jakarta.
