TAM Make Sure Hilux Rangga Replaces Hilux Single-Cab 4x2 For The Indonesian Market

Toyota's single-agent brand holder (ATPM) in Indonesia, PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) officially launched the All-New Hilux Rangga for the Indonesian market after it was first introduced at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).

According to the company, this car is very useful for various needs for the wider community, from commercial to lifestyle so that it has high flexibility.

All-New Hilux Rangga is available in ten variants with four of them from gasoline type and six others are diesel. The gasoline variant is priced from Rp. 188.7 million to Rp. 215.7 million and diesel from Rp. 244.7 million to Rp. 304.5 million. All prices include On The Road DKI Jakarta.

Thus, the price almost equals the Hilux Single-Cab 4x2 in Indonesia worth IDR 283.7 million to IDR 305.8 million. Then, what is the continuation of the model?

Responding to this, Marketing Director of PT TAM Anton Jimmi Suwandi, confirmed that Hilux Single-Cab will be replaced by Hilux Rangga who is superior in terms of products and prices.

"So the Hilux line-up is still available, but the 4x2 Hilux single-cabin will be replaced by Hilux Rangga because it is in a similar segment," Anton said when met in Kemayoran, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 15.

However, Anton also ensured that his party would continue to provide Hilux Single-Cab with 4x4 and 4x4 Double-Cabin variants as well as increase the line for pickup vehicles in Indonesia.

"Even so, we still provide 4x4 Single-Cab Hilux and 4x4 double-cab. So this completes the line of our pickup in Indonesia," added Anton.

The 4x4 Single-Cab Hilux is now priced with a tag worth IDR 407.8 million equipped with manual transmission.

Meanwhile, PT TAM also sells 4x4 Double-Cabin Hilux with three different variants starting at a price of IDR 448.6 million to a maximum of IDR 532.7 million.
